Color Placement

There are no rules here.

Use one color for the whole board. Mix all three. Save your favorite for last. Start in the middle, start at the edge, start wherever feels right. These boards are yours to make completely your own. You can reuse them and buy different colors if you wish.

A few ways people like to use their three floss colors:

• One color per petal - rotate through your colors as you move around the flower for a bold, graphic look
• One color for the flower, one for the leaves, one for the center - a classic, clean approach that looks intentional and finished
• All three colors mixed together - thread multiple colors through the needle at once for a variegated, textured effect
• One color only - pick your favorite and use it everywhere for a simple, modern look
• Gradient style - start with one color at the top and switch as you move down for an ombre effect

Still not sure? Just start. Pick up whichever floss color you are drawn to first and go from there. You can always change colors mid-stitch, and no two boards ever turn out the same.

That is kind of the whole point.
